Astrid Linder has spent over 20 years in traffic safety research. In this talk she proves with data from multiple sources that our cars are unnecessarily unsafe for women, simply because all crash test dummies are still based on the average male. So what to do? Develop one based on the average female of course! Astrid has over 20 years experience of traffic safety research, most of which has been focused on female security in traffic. Astrid and her team have developed EvaRID, the first and so far only female crash test dummy in the world, to help increase traffic safety for women This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
