This video provides a list of selected bilateral developmental agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) involved in developmental work, and other agencies operating in the field of global health, human development, and environmental protection. Bilateral agencies are primarily the development assistance agencies of developed countries. These agencies work directly with low- and middle-income countries to advance economic and social development. As an example of such type of agency: the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is introduced. In the field of global health and human development, as well as, ensuring environmental sustainability, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) play a major role. As examples of such organizations, Building Resources Across Communities (BRAC), headquartered in Bangladesh, Doctors Without Borders, and Save the Children are briefly discussed. Finally, a list of other actors spanning academia, think tanks, foundations, etc. are provided.
